Reaching Shillong is an adventure in itself. The nearest major airport is Shillong Airport (Umroi Airport), which has limited flight connections. The most convenient way to reach Shillong is by flying to Guwahati, which is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Guwahati, it's a scenic drive of approximately 3-4 hours to Shillong.
